• Follow up and be polite with everyone, even if this isn’t your ideal school because post-secondary basketball is a small world and coaches talk
• Learn as much as you can about a program by looking at their roster, watching their games online, talking to other players who know about the program
• Once contact has been established, come prepared to ask coaches meaningful questions which show your knowledge of the program and school
• Maintain contact and work towards getting to play in person with a coach (harder with NCAA rules)
